About
A Bangkok practice devoted to reading derivatives volatility with patience and precision.
Origin
Apigateway Grid began as a small advisory circle on Silom Road, formed by market practitioners who had spent years sitting next to options books and wanted a quieter place to examine volatility without the noise of sales coverage. The work stayed deliberately narrow: financial market analysis centred on how derivatives prices express uncertainty.
Mission
We help desks understand the volatility they already carry — implied levels, realised paths, skew, and the gaps between them — so decisions about hedges and risk limits rest on a shared reading of the market rather than on hurried intuition alone.
Expertise
Our analysts have worked across equity index options, FX volatility, and selected commodity futures linked to Southeast Asian flows. The practice is not a brokerage and does not run client capital. Depth comes from repeated engagement with the same books over months, not from a rotating cast of generalists.
Working approach
Engagements open with a book walkthrough. We agree underlyings, tenors, and the questions that matter this quarter. Delivery is written first, spoken second: notes you can file, followed by conversation when something in the tape shifts. Bangkok hours are our default; we coordinate with regional desks when an event window requires it.
Values
- Specificity over spectacle — charts earn their place only if they change a decision.
- Independence from order flow — we are paid for analysis, never for volume.
- Respect for mandate limits — we work inside the constraints your committee already set.
- Continuity — the same people who write the Monday note join the Thursday stress call.
People and place
The office at Level 11, 29 Silom Road anchors client meetings and quiet prep days. Video sessions are available for desks outside Bangkok. We keep the team small so every retainer still feels like a named relationship, not a queue.
